The Beauty Expert Collection – Rose Edition Review

The Beauty Expert Collection - Rose Edition Review

You might remember that a few weeks ago I attended the event of the much coveted Beauty Expert Collection launch. A, well, collection of beauty items curated by skincare (and beauty) experts Beauty Expert, this is the first of a quarterly beauty bag. Instead of working on a monthly subscription basis, the Beauty Expert Collection works by purchasing the beauty bag as a one-off. The first of the collections – out right now – is rose theme. Say hello to The Beauty Expert Collection Rose Edition.

The bag costs £50 so a little more expensive than a monthly subscription box, but considering you receive six totally full size products (plus a cute cosmetics bag!) it seems like a fair price. In fact, if you were to buy just the beauty items separately then it would set you back £134, meaning that you save a whopping £84. So, if you were planning on buying just one or two items out of the box anyway, you basically get the rest free. (That’s my justification anyway).

So… what’s inside?

There’s a whole range of different rose infused skincare and body care items which all serve different purposes. Known for it’s natural healing benefits, rose is a highly effective skincare ingredient which is gentle enough for almost all skin types.

The first three items included in the bag have become firm favourites in my skincare routine. The first (and possibly my fav) is the Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil (30ml) which contains super concentrated fruit hip oil and rose scent to feed your skin with the most essential nutrients. Before this I like to cleanse using the Monu Gentle Cleanser (180ml) which is infused with rose and geranium essential oils suitable for cleansing and soothing sensitive skin. For my eyes, I’m obsessing over the REN Keep Young and Beautiful Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift (15ml). This has quickly become a cult favourite eye cream since it was featured in The Times and I can totally see why; if I’m not mistaken it’s described as an ‘instant eye lift’ without surgery.

For your body, The Beauty Expert Collection Rose Edition contains three items for giving yourself a whole lot of rose TLC. I love to use the Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel (250ml) as a relaxing bath or shower foam; it smells absolutely delicious and is a pleasure to use. Post shower, I use the Balance Me Rose Otto Body Cream (200ml) which contains rose otto, palma rosa and rose geranium to soften and firm your skin – especially handy on any wobbly bits you might have. (Guilty!) As a special Sunday night, post-bath time pamper treat I like to crack open the Ark Body Beautiful Conditioning Oil (250ml). This is an absolutely divine multi-purpose beauty elixir can be used as a massage, bath, body and hair oil. It is seriously luxurious and a treat to use every time.

This looks like such a good collection, I especially liked the sound of the rose oil you mentioned! I have a fashion and beauty blog too if you would like to check it out! :)
