Chenille Knitwear For Winter 2017 With River Island

RI_IMG_9413

It’s official: I’m now living in knitwear until the end of Winter. Every year, I have my old fav jumpers and cardigans I pull out the back of the wardrobe to help me hibernate through the colder months, and every year I try and invest in one or two new trend driven pieces to help me strut my snuggly snuff. This Autumn Winter 2017, I’m updating my wardrobe with chenille. This type of knit was all over the runways at London Fashion Week in Spring, so picking up a garment made from this French inspired fabric is a sure way to keep warm and on trend this season.

To channel the chenille trend, this I’m living in this red chenille knit oversized roll neck jumper from knitwear at River Island this Winter. It comes in tons of different colours (including black for those who love a bit of all-black-everrythang) but I opted for this deep berry red. Red is one of my favourite colours all year round but in Winter it becomes the perfect excuse to wear it in darker shades. Paired with a vampy lip, it’s the perfect colour to help you feel festive and fash-un at the same time.

You may also notice my new favourite boots in this post. Say hello to these studded babies from River Island footwear. I used to have a pair of flat studded boots when I was at uni, well, many moons ago now, and I wore them to death until they finally caved in on me. Ever since I’ve been looked for the perfect replacement that are good quality and don’t break the bank – and I’ve finally found them! These buckle babies only cost £45 and are super comfortable – plus, every time I wear them I get compliments on them – so can’t complain at all.
