Everyone needs three main nail polish colours to see them through Spring and Summer; a bright fuschia pink, a pale baby pink and a pearly white. With these three colours you have the ability to not only create bright holiday-worthy nails, but mix them together to create classic french manicures and pedicures, and, dare I say it, keep you going through the whole of the sunnier months. So, as I start to prep my mitts for this season, I’m exploring the must have Essie Nail Polish for Spring Summer 2017 – and exactly why you need them too!
Firstly, everyone needs a white nail polish – trust me! Essie nail polish in Blanc is the perfect pearly white for layering over a pale pink to create a classic french manicure, or simply wearing on it’s own to accentuate a summer tan.
Similarly, Essie nail polish in Fiji is a multi-purpose pale pink shade that can be worn either on it’s own or used as the base for a timeless french manicure (or holiday pedicure!). The colour Fiji is the perfect baby pink – not too pale that it stands out too much, but not too nude that your nails look lost; it’s a really lovely summer shade.
And the final colour you all need is the Essie Plumberry nail polish – this is the classic bright fuschia pink perfect for the summer months! A bright pink has become almost as classic as a pillar box read – with greater vacation vibe – and looks ideal for a holiday mani-pedi.
Oh, and everyone needs a base coat and a top coat, right? Sure, you can find these two manicure must haves almost anywhere, but at the moment I am enjoying using the Essie Primer base coat before putting on colour; supposedly it helps the polish last longer, but for me I like to use it to prevent my natural nail colour staining with the pigment of polish.
And finally, I always finish off an at-home manicure and pedicure with a good top coat, and the Essie Good To Go clear top coat is certainly that. It dries quickly, adds a lovely shine and like it says, is good to go in just a few minutes, meaning your new Spring Summer 2017 holiday nails won’t smudge when you’re ready to go.
