Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

Looking for big lashes? Say hello – or bonjour – to the brand new Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara. Boasting to increase lashes up to 12 times (yes, really!), it’s luxury French skin care and makeup brand Lancome’s latest offering to their plethora of mascaras.  Having been a Lancome mascara fan for many years (hands up who else always asks for the holiday themed mascara/eyeliner gift sets at Christmas?), I was excited to see how their latest offering would hold up to the likes of the Lancome Hypnose Mascara range that I have come to repurchase time and time again. At £21, the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara is a similar price point, so of course I had to give it a go…

The brush on the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara is exactly the sort of brush I look for in my favourite mascaras. I always favour a soft, fluffy big brush over plastic brushes with individual spindles. The colour advertises itself as not just black, but ‘ultra black’ and I have to agree the pigmentation is wonderful. I usually do at least two lashings of mascara, one after the other before my lashes dry, but with this I only need to do one sweep on upper and lower lashes I am good to go. I’ve even worn this for full days at work and it looks just as good when I get home as when I first applied it.

My verdict? Au Revoir Hyponse Mascara, bonjour Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara.
