Lookfantastic Healthy Skin Box for Normal/Combination Skin

If you’ve been reading here for a while, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of the Lookfantastic monthly subscription beauty boxes, so I was delighted to try a Lookfantastic Healthy Skin Box for Normal/Combination Skin. This is part of Lookfantastic’s new launch, “My Skin Solutions”, an introduction to your perfect skincare routine Instead of a monthly subscription, this box works on a one-off purchase of products to try tailored to your skin type.

The Lookfantastic Healthy Skin Box packages come in three different editions, tailored for: Normal/Combination skin, Dry/Sensitive Skin and Oily/Blemish Prone Skin. Having mostly normal/combination skin I naturally went for the Normal/Combination Skin box. Well duh, anything else would have just been a bit silly.

Costing £35, the Lookfantastic Healthy Skin Box for Normal/Combination Skin contains six products tailored to skin that isn’t too problematic, but does have some areas of combination problems. For instance, my skin is mostly fine and I have no serious issues, but I am prone to an oily nose, an occasional allergic reaction to strong chemical based products and sometimes tiny dry patches on my skin. However, in the most part, it’s fine, and these products are chosen to enhance your natural base and promote a healthy complexion.

The six products in this box have been carefully selected by Lookfantastic’s Lookfantastic’s consultant pharmacist and skincare expert, Hira, making sure each of the products is dermatologically tailored to caring for each skin type.

These products come in a range of sizes and include: Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser, GlamGlow Powermud Mask, Eucerin Aquaporin Active, Delarom Revitality Cream, Gatineau Melatogenine Futur Plus Radiance Mask and last but not least, the Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser.

Without a doubt, the Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser is definitely the standout product in my Lookfantastic Healthy Skin Box. Being stuck in a rut of using micellar water and hot cloth cleansers to remove my makeup, it’s a product which I never would have purchased myself for that very reason. Now, I use this creamy 3-in-1 eyemakeup remove, cleanser and toner all in one to remove my make-up and leave my skin cleansed and toned before applying moisturiser. My night-time skincare routine is now so much quicker! But hey, I guess this is where the My Skin Solutions box comes into it’s own as it’s helped me discover a full size product which I will now happily repurchase for £11.50.

In fact, loving the Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser so much gave me the confidence to branch out on my eye cream care, too, and I went for the Vichy Liftactive Serum 10 Eyes and Lashes. Having never tried Vichy before, discovered them in the Lookfantastic beauty box has led me to become a convert and I am absolutely loving my new eyecream, too. It’s meant to lift your eyes and encourage eyelash growth – I am dubious of how much a cream can encourage hair growth, but it definitely helps to make my undereye area feel refreshed and firm in the morning. At £25 it might seem a little pricy but it’s currently on special offer at Lookfantastic if you fancy trying it too.
