Manchester Fashion Week 2013: Dates Revealed!

Hey kittens!

Tonight I have an exciting announcing for y’all about one of my favourite weeks of the year – Manchester Fashion Week!

Manchester Fashion Week (MCRFW) are proud to announce the appointment of Kirsty Attwood as the team’s new Head of Fashion. What a glamour puss – what a purrrrfect fit!

Kirsty joins MCRFW from NET-A-PORTER.COM and has a decade of experience working with luxury brands and high profile clientele around the world. Alongside making influential decisions about the teams sales strategies she was also responsible for the Studio Services department launched with the UK’s TV and film costume elite in mind at Selfridges London, kittens.

Y’all kittens know that Kirsty can relate to the designers she works with as she had her own womanswear brand Kirstmairie which has adorned numerous celebrity clients. Her creative approach and vision to a life in fashion has seen her career evolve through many areas of this exquisite industry.

A background spanning years within design, sales, management and full business for some of the most elusive brands has set up Kirsty’s ability to approach a plan and move business forward to new levels. Kirsty now looks to cement her experience with MCRFW as an integral part of the industries events calendar.

Kirsty is excited to come onboard with MCRFW:

“The inspiration behind MCRFW offers such a foundation to this companies structure it has huge potential to have an integral and impact-full contribution to the industry as a whole, over the next year I hope to build those relationships to not only establish the industries professionals based in the north but give a platform to new talent”

MCRFW 2013 will take place on April 22nd-26th at the National Football Museum.
The iconic Urbis building will be transformed into a must- visit hot spot, hosting 30 fashion shows and 15 exhibition spaces throughout the 5-day event. Manchester has a proud legacy in football and fashion, with many iconic designers and athletes calling the city their home. The National History Museum celebrates this legacy and truly gives a sense of ownership to the city. This year will see MCRFW house its usual extravaganza of fashion catwalk and shopping with a few surprises from the MCRFW team, to celebrate the building of the new website and blog plus the launch of MCRFW Hosts.
