Maxi Shirt Dress for Spring 2016

Maxi Shirt Dresses are having their moment this season, and I, for one, am loving it. Sure, slip them on over a bikini when you go on your summer holidays and enjoy the sheer cover-up element to it. But for this in-between whether, they’re a great wardrobe addition. Not sure what to wear? Slip on a Maxi Shirt Dress over a pair of leggings, jeans or tights and you’re good to go. For a bit of added warmth, add a vest underneath like me. What a granny.

This new spring trend would usually be outside my comfort zone of floral blouses and swing dresses, but thinking about it, it makes sense that I love it. It combines my love of the two of them into a lovely, swooshy, skirty outfit of goodness. Whether paired with flats or heels, they look smart and are sure to get some stares.

I’ve been keeping my eyes out for others similar to this and have a huge Spring Summer wishlist full of maxi dresses by Parisian. They have tons of outfits to choose from and I can feel a cheeky order coming on!

For this outfit, I chose to pop on a fedora and chain heels to toughen up the look a little. I really like the extra interest it gives to this look by making it look a little more rockstar and a little less beach. However, come August, I’ll be popping this on to visit the seaside with just my bathing suit and flip flops in towe. Sweet.

Maxi dresses are definitely not something I would wear and similar to what you said they tend to be out of my comfort zone too! However I’m obsessed with how you paired this outfit. It’s gorgeous <3
