OOTD: Casual Midi Skirt

Hey Kittens!

Welcome to another Outfit of the Day post!

I hope ya’ll like watching my videos as well as seeing my pictures, as this was how I started out blogging (or vlogging!) – please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel for free!

This beautiful maroon skirt* is from Prodigy Red – it’s bang on trend in both the colour and shape stakes, fitting to a flattering and smart midi length. I also love that it adds a bit of edge with the gold studs around the waist – cannot get enough of Prodigy Red‘s stud inspired collections at the moment. I love how this skirt almost looks like you’re wearing a waist belt – it’s amazing how such a little detail can add so much to a whole outfit!

I paired the skirt with this My Little Pony Rocks T-shirt* from Truffle Shuffle, as the top picks out the same maroon and warm shades as seen in the skirt. As y’all kittens know, I don’t wear many T-Shirts at all – in fact, this may be the first ever T-Shirt appearance on my blog! I tend to prefer the formality of shirts and dresses. However, this T-shirt has made me a bit of a casual convert; it is UNBELIEVABLY comfortable and I’ve been wearing it to death! It’s a bonus that the retro design – as with all the clothing on the celebrity favourite, Truffle Shuffle – appeals to my love of all things vintage and quirky.

Did y’all also notice that I mixed up the formality of the midi skirt with a T-shirt? I slapped on my amazing GoGo Philip chain necklace* to complete the look – to punk it up a bit and match the gold studs of the skirt. It’s always a fun twist to toughen up an outfit!

Given it’s still winter, my over-worn and much loved five year old faux fur leopard print coat from New Look was added to give some warmth. There’s not much I can say about this coat that I’m sure you haven’t heard before, as it’s been a huge investment and I’ve worn it practically every single day for four or five years now! I just hope it never goes past its best!

And, for the finishing touch, I wore my beautiful Jeffrey Campbell-esque Litas* from Cloggs. Where else would my shoes be from? My most favourite shoe shop ever for trends, affordability and amazing quality. It’s a Brucey Bonus that the tan colour matches perfectly with the warm and neutral hues of the outfit, especially my coat!

So kittens, what do y’all think? Leave me a comment and let me know!
