Sleek Crème to Powder Blush

IMG_7493

Sleek is a brand that has become well known for their blush products. Ever since Zoella and Tanya burr started hailing them as their go-to drugstore blushers a few years ago, they’ve become somewhat a cult products in the beauty blogger world and I for one have always loved their traditional powder brushes. So, when I saw that they had recently released a new type of product – the Sleek Make Up Crème to Powder Blushes – I knew I had to get my mitts on them!

I would not typically purchase a cream blusher over a powdered one – just because I am a creature of habit – but I’ve really enjoyed playing around with these. The Sleek Crème to Powder Blushes are pigmented, although a lot more subtle than their powdered alternatives, and give a lovely natural colour once applied to the cheeks. If you enjoy a gentle, sunkissed glow over a structured contour look, then these are for you. I have the Sleek Crème to Powder Blushes in Amaryllis* (a deep pink) and French Rose* (a coral orange-red). I could see both of these suiting many skin tones and although they don’t last as long as the Sleek Powder Blushers I find, I really enjoy them and are lovely for a natural daytime look; at £5.99 each you can’t really go wrong.

I also tried the new Sleek Sunkissed Illuminator in Monaco*, a liquid highlight that can be used either across cheekbones and brow bones, or mixed with foundation to give a dewy finish. I have used this mostly as a primer, applying it before my foundation to give a lift to my heavier coverage bases. However, if you choose to pair this on the tops of the cheekbones with the Sleek cream blusher underneath, the pair of products make for a really lovely glowy complexion. This costs £8.99 which again is a very affordable price.

Sleek Make-up continue to impress with their blushers and although I don’t love these quite as much as my Holy Grail blush product, the Sleek Powder Blush in Rose Gold, I will continue to use them for a natural daytime look.
