Whether we’re going to work, heading out for drinks straight from the office or even just taking the dog for a walk, we all need that one basic base that takes us from day to night without any fuss, fading or fanciness. So, it’s like Sleek were reading our minds when they came out with their budget everyday base, the Sleek Life Proof Foundation. At just £8.99, it’s the cost of two lunchtime meal deals and so is the perfect drugstore price.
It also comes in a wide range of 25 shades so there should be a colour for most of us; as a pale baby, I had to put this to the test. I decided to try the Sleek Life Proof Foundation in the LP02 and LP03. I’m usually the palest shade (which would have been LP01) but this time Lp02 does the job just right. I have to say, I didn’t have huge expectations for such a cheap price point, but for the first two days I wore this foundation to work I received compliments on how warm and fresh my face looked with my colleagues – who are fellow Beauty Editors too – asking exactly what I was wearing!
At £8.99, this foundation holds itself up well against my high end alternatives. It’s not my Holy Grail foundation, and it’s not my special occasion foundation, but it is my every day foundation, and for that I can truly say it is life proof.
