The British Sound Project with JD Sport

I have a confession: I’m a newly converted trainer addict. Yeah, you heard it right. I’ve put down my heels (for now) in favour of a pair of comfortable flats and I’ve never felt so snug. I can’t believe the difference I feel when wearing trainers (for the first time might I add!); it feels like I am walking on air and it’s all thanks to JD Sport for challenging me to wearing them to their sponsored event, The British Sound Project, the other weekend.

The British Sound Project 2016 was held at Manchester Victoria Warehouse (that’s pretty close to Media City if you’re unsure) and was the first of it’s kind, celebrating indie and rock music from Northern legends right here in Manchester. Headliners included Black Grape and Primal Scream; proper Manchester icons that I felt so lucky to be able to experience with my own eyes… And ears…

To mark the occassion I brought along my – wait for it – boyfirriend(!) to his first ‘blogger event’ and JD Sport kindly let us pick out some fashionable footwear to get us gig-ready. He was over the moon to not only be able to attend such a once-in-a-lifetime experience but with the bonus of a new pair of sneakers too! He chose a pair of Nike Pegasus, whilst I went for a classic pair of Nike Roshe‘s for my first foray into the trainer world. And well, the rest they say is history. I can’t be parted with these babies and every weekend since I’ve been reaching for these over my usual casual footwear… I can feel an trainer addiction going on.

JD Sport totally spoilt us on the night and I am so thankful to our wonderful hosts for giving us a night to remember. As well as going along with my boyfriend, I also went with my blogger bestie Terri and her Plus 1, as well as seeing some other lovely bloggers I know also, and we had a right old lovely time in the VIP area. Actually, we were VIP, VIP’s – we had special front row seats with a balcony view. It was like everyone was there just for us.

Thank you JD Sport, I can’t wait to see what you have lined up for next time.
