The Trouble With Manchester

Hey there, kittens!

Happy New Year – I am hoping we will start 2013 on a drier horizon than 2012, as unfortunately my first blog post of this year comes on a bit of a wet note (quite literally).

This is an official kitten statement coming straight from my paddling paws to apologise for the lack of Outfit of the Day and Lookbook posts this winter. It is not for lack of trying or lack of want, instead it is due to the lack of sun. In fact, not even sun, just dry weather.

The trouble with Manchester is it’s weather.

Y’all kittens know I love this city more than any where else in the world. I have travelled far and wide and yet Manchester always calls me home to it’s Northern planes. However, it is famous for raining. And that is what it does best. It rains and rains and rains. Sometimes I think I better start building my own Arc it rains that much. I need Noah on speed dial.

Now, as a fashion blogger and vlogger, the rain puts a downer on any outfits I plan to film and photograph. It means I can’t physically take the photographs or film anything, which is always a bit of a risk with blogging here in good ole’ Mancunia.

An added trial is the light. As I work full time, I don’t get home til about 7.30pm on an average day, although I often have fashion events to go to in the evenings as well, meaning I won’t get in until late. I also leave the house early, meaning that since October it has been dark when I leave the house and return home. This means that even if it is dry (unlikely) it has been too dark to film or photograph either and unfortunately my kitten cat bed isn’t big or light enough to take pics inside.

Now, during my couple of days off work over Christmas (which were very festive and relaxing, may I add) I planned to make the most of the day times at home and take as many Outfit photos and videos as possible. How many did I manage? None. Not one. Nothing. Nada.

It seems to not have only been constantly raining but constantly dark. It is perpetual night here in Manchester at the moment. It literally does not get light. I feel as though I am living in the Arctic at the moment, not just for the weather, but for the lack of light. I cannot even remember the last time I saw the sun!

So kittens, please forgive my paws (geddit, paws… pause…) in Outfit Posts as weather and time are both working against me right now. I apologise for a lack of new fashion reviews and videos as I really have been unable to take any new photographs recently. However, I promise to get some to you ASAP in the form of some sneaky saved up posts I created whilst I still remembered what sunshine was.

Anyway, I hope to get a New Year post to y’all very soon, but until then, cross your kitty fingers for some good weather. I’ve had my fingers, toes and tails crossed for weeks now!
