Urban Decay have to be one of my favourite high-end makeup brands. Not just for their cruelty-free status and high pigmentation, but for their creativity and colour range. Their newest palette of sparkly goodness is no exception, with the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette being one of the most shimmery and glittery collections I’ve ever got my mitts on. Swoon!
Costing £35, the palette contains eight different eyeshadow shades built into a robust palette with a built in mirror. All eight shades are from Urban Decay’s Moondust range (duh!) which cost £14 each, so it works out at really good value if you are looking to collection more than two shades. There’s a great range of oranges, purples, greens, blues and pinks as well as some more neutral silvery shimmery shades.
Each of the colours are swatched above and whilst the paper they’re on doesn’t do them much justice, they are truly sparkly in real life. Not as pigmented as Urban Decay’s matte shades and not as wearable as their famous Naked palettes which are full of neutral shades, the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette is not my most used or favourite palette. However it’s lovely for a special ocassion, especially the festive season.
