Black Floral Maxi Dress and Birkenstocks

As I am writing this, I am sadly mourning the loss of my trusty black Birkenstocks. My leather Birkenstock double strap sandals have been a staple in my summer shoe wardrobe for many years, and now just I am seemingly about to big them up again, they seem to have gone walkies… And sadly without my feet in them! As with any outfit, they go so well with this black floral maxi dress, perfect for the sunnier days we have been lucky to be experiencing in Manchester recently.

These images were actually taken on a recent day trip to Sandbach, in Cheshire! A random location I guess, but a little day trip from Manchester to there for lunch feels like a bit of a different day out. The pub these were taken outside is also highly recommended for lunch – expensive but delicious and so totally worth it. Plus the tudor building makes not only a fascinating setting for dining in, but a great backdrop for Outfit of the Day pictures!
