Friday Night Outfit Inspiration

Friday Night Outfit Inspiration

Friday Night Outfit Inspiration by Lily Kitten

Hey kittens, it’s finally Friday! Phew, feels like a long one this week as its our first full week back at work after the Christmas holidays. Can’t believe how far away festivities seem now – can you believe that two weeks ago we were seeing in the New Year?! Nah, me neither.

I’m not gonna lie; I’ve got the January blues. Hands up if you’re with me! Not only does Christmas seem so far away, but PayDay does too. In fact, my purse has taken such a hammering over the holidays that I thought exactly what I needed was a night out pick me up (and here’s my ideal outfit inspiration for a night on the tiles).

Who else is up for a night out? If you’re looking for ideas for a night out which will offer something different from the usual pub or nightclub in our fair Mancunian, then a casino visit can be just the ticket. Whether its visiting a local one with some mates or your Boyf, having a themed casino party, or make a proper event of it and go all out with a night at one of the top ones in Europe or Las Vegas, you are likely to have a lot of fun.

However a big part (or my favourite part) of a night like this is deciding what to wear, and your OOTN – that’s outfit of the night to the non bloggers, haha – will depend on both the calibre of the casino and the type of night you have planned.

If you’re visiting your local casino for the night, either with your boyf or a mate, then the dress code is usually kinda relaxed – although most casinos will be a little stricter after dark. If you are just out to have fun, a little black dress is a classic girly option, but if you want to present a more serious gambling image, then a longer cocktail dress will probably be closer to the fashion jackpot! If your night out is to one of the really big casinos in the likes of Vegas or London, (not quite our Manchester favs), I’d personally go all out with the glamour of a full-length evening gown accessorised with some chunky Manc statement jewellery, to live out the whole high roller fantasy to the limit.

Casino parties, on the other hand, usually call for an outfit that’s really out there! My mates often choose to make these occasions fancy dress, and the retro theme is often popular. If the theme is 1920s Jazz Age, then a flapper dress, headband or feather boa will be perfect. Alternatively if it is 1930s/40s gangster, then a tight gown with flashy gold jewellery will give you the look of a gangster’s moll straight out of a movie from the golden age of Hollywood. Fancy! However, if like me you’re feeling a little lazy tonight, you can always play the best casino games at http://www.jackpotcity.co.uk* from the comfort of your own home, so you wouldn’t need to worry about dressing up!
