January 2019 Luxury Perfume Picks for Her

New Year, New Fragrance? This January, I feel pretty content with all that I have and there’s nothing I’m really lusting after clothing or makeup wise… But fragrance is another story. After meeting up with Kenneth Green Associates before Christmas at the beautiful Sunset bar, Manchester, to see their new Winter fragrance launches, I am still on my journey to find my scent of 2019. To help me decide, I thought I would share my top January 2019 Luxury Perfume Picks for Her.

First up is Carat by Cartier. We all know Cartier for their stunning luxury jewellery and, as you guys know, I work in the watch industry so I know them very well for their beautiful timepieces. Their new winter fragrance, Cartier Carat has a very distinctive scent, totally different to any other ladies’ perfume I have tried. It includes notes of Violet, Iris, Hyacinth, Ylong Ylang, Daffodil, Honeysuckle and Tulip but to me, overwhelmingly smells sweet and powdery. When I spray it, it conjures up images of a 1940s Hollywood Movie Starlet getting ready in her dressing room, spritzing this on as she gets ready to go on set. Prices start from £52 for 30ml.

A less unusual scent, but a modern one none-the-less is FEVER by Jimmy Choo. As well as designer shoes and accessories, Jimmy Choo have become famous for their striking perfume and for me, are a firm favourite in my dressing room. In fact, my first Jimmy Choo perfume was lusted over for many months and finally bought for me by an ex-boyfriend on a surprise flight to Berlin for my 21^st Birthday… Oh how times change! Jimmy Choo’s latest fragrance, FEVER, starts from £43 for 40ml and is a grown-up almondy floral and addictive fragrance with a sophisticated based including Tonka Bean, Benzoin and Sandalwood.

However I fragrance I had not tried before is Elizabeth and James’ Nirvana Black. Not technically a ladies’ perfume, this is a unisex fragrance for him and her. Created by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, this fragrance captures the twins’ free spirited attitude with a blend of Violet, Sandalwood and Vanilla.

Finally, a luxury perfume pick that most of us will love is the new Elie Saab fragrance, Girl of Now. Elie Saab perfumes always remind me of my holidays as I usually like to spritz them at the airport due to their fresh, floral scents. Girl of now is no different and contains an addictive note of Almond, textured with Orange Blossom and Patchouli, the brand’s signature. The perfect fresh scent for 2019.
