Outfit of the Day: Black Kimono & Disco Pants

OUTFIT DETAILS black lace oriental kimono: MissBehaver* // black chiffon alphabet pattern blouse: Goddiva* // black satin disco pants: Primark // spike necklace: Warehouse* // floral crown headband: Claire’s*

Hey kittens, welcome to my latest Outfit of the Day post. I’ve been really excited to share this one with you for a while as it’s one I’m pretty proud of. Aside from the huge heels (and on some occasions – like work – the headband) this is actually a really wearable look. Swap the block platforms for a pair of flats and I’ve been wearing this look loads; you can’t beat some disco pants, a shirt and a good old cover up.

Looking on the MissBehaver site at this kimono, it looks a little intimidating. The oriental patters on the sides, the huge batwing sleeves and the embellished lace detail could easily be ‘too much’ but I have to say, it’s super easy to wear. Aside from pairing it with this alphabet blouse from Gooddiva, I’ve been wearing it to smarten up a black vest top and pair of jeans, and even over a plain bodycon dress. I love the vintage-y yet glamorous look it gives to an outfit. Thinking about the warmer months (yes I know it’s only December) I even have a plain black swimming costume it would look cute with for my summer holiday; goth on the beach alert!

Also, how cute is this mirror by Pebblestone? As a gal who’s always on the go (especially to events at night) I always have a mirror in my handbag ready for a lipstick touch-up. This one is perfect for throwing in my bag as it seals shut to protect the glass (heck, no one wants seven years bad luck from a smashed mirror!) and of course, the built in LED lights. This really is so handy for whipping out my clutch at events and checking my winged eyeliner is still in place. No one needs an eyeliner/panda disaster when they can’t check their makeup!
