Sorel Winter Boots #SORELStyle

Hey kittens, hope you’re all okay! So, it’s that time of year again… The time where I start the annual hunt for a decent pair of winter boots. As the cold, wet, windy of weather has becoming increasingly worse these past couple of weeks (I think the mild summer spoilt us a little) I’ve been starting my winter boots search – which quickly ended when I was kindly sent these Sorel boots as a little festive treat. And if these babies aren’t going to keep my feet warm and dry this year, I’m not sure what will…

These boots were first introduced to me as ‘back to uni’ #SORELStyle boots (appropriately named The Campus) and I can wholeheartedly agree that from personal experience, students love a comfortable boot. Although not my personal style to pop on some leggings, a hoodies and some Ugg-style boots, 99% of the students at my uni live in this uniform. I mean, I can see why; despite not being fashion-focused, you can’t argue with comfort, and I am looking forward to indulging my inner-student again with wearing my Sorel boots on my walk to work throughout winter. And yep, they feel as comfortable as they look. As snug as a bug in a rug.

The Campus boots are aimed at a lower pricepoint than other Sorel boots (and Uggs) to appeal diretly to students, retailing at £80. Now, it’s not exactly a bargain, but what I will say that having been familiar with Ugg boots and their cheaper alternatives, these seem to offer a lot more value for money; note the  sturdy sole, buckles at the side to tighten if needed and personally I prefer to wear brighter colours, so the red style appealed to me. Heck, you can’t say ‘boring’ more than 50 shades of beige.

So kittens, Sorel might not be made for your inner glamour puss, but I can personally vouch for their comfiness and heck, if it gets as cold and rainy as it’s expected to in Manchester this winter, I can see these becoming permanently glued to my tootsies.
