Want to have the Best Trip to Barcelona? Here’s what you Need to Know

Are you planning a trip to Barcelona? If so, then you will not want to miss out on these top travel tips. You’ll easily be able to make the most out of every day on your vacation and you may even find that you are able to save a bit of money too!

Plan your Visit at the Right Time

If you want to take advantage of the best prices, less queues and good weather, then be sure to plan your trip either just before or just after the peak season. School holidays are ideal for visiting this location and if you go during this time, then you may find that everything is open, but you will not be queuing for half as much as you would if you went during the full peak season. You may also find that the price of accommodation and travel is far lower too which is a major bonus.

Gaudi Locations

Gaudi visited Barcelona at the age of 16 in an attempt to study architecture. He then lived in the city for the rest of his life. During his time, he was able to create a lot of great buildings and monuments. A lot of his pieces are worth going out of your way to see. Make sure that you add this to your to-do list if you want to make the most out of your trip.

Free Museum Days

A visit to Barcelona is not complete if you do not take advantage of the free museums. They are open on the first Sunday of every month and this is a great way to see everything without breaking the bank. Some of the top museums include the Montjuïc Castle and the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya.

Buy Tickets to Attractions

Be sure to take note of some of the paid attractions too. If you can, you need to buy your tickets ahead of time if you do not want to be disappointed. This way you can take advantage of the “skip the line” option and you can also visit on whatever day you want, as opposed to having to time your trip when there’s no queues. The most famous attraction that Barcelona has to offer tourists would be the Sagrada Familia cathedral. This is full of intricate carvings, and it is a great way for you to truly take in the culture. If you want to really have the best time, then make sure you do not overlook the top Barcelona wine tours either.

Always Take Cash

Lastly, always take cash. A lot of smaller establishments have not adopted card payments yet, so be sure to always carry cash with you. A lot of small coffee shops do accept card, but you have to spend a certain amount if you want to have the option, and this is the last thing that you need. By taking cash with you, you can be sure to avoid all of this without having to worry about missing out on any of the things that there are to do in the area.
