Baroque Print Silk Midi Skirt and White Trainers

Baroque Print Silk Midi Skirt and White Trainers

Silk midi skirts are having a moment at the minute, and I am all for it. At first, I found the midi skirt a difficult length to wear – sure, it looks easy, but when you’re so used to just dresses or trousers, a skirt starts to feel a little out of your comfort zone! For this look, I went for a pleated silk midi dress with classic baroque detailing, a little reminiscent of Gucci. Although this skirt looks pretty expensive, I actually picked it up from… Wait for it… TESCO in the sale when I was doing my weekly shop. Honestly, I should get an award for best grocery store fashion finds!

As per usual with my recent outfits, I am wearing my white GOLA Classics again. I just can’t stop wearing them! These Inca leather trainers have a green heel tab detail at the back which I really love – it gives some added interest and also goes really well with the elements of green in this midi skirt in particular. They also have a suede toe bumper which along with the heel tab really helps to give them that ‘retro’ feel, don’t you think? I honestly don’t think that these would look out of place on my style icon, Nancy, in an episode of Stranger Things and for that, I absolutely love them!
