Blind Pig Cider

Hey kittens, today’s blog post will hopefully be getting you in the mood for a bit of a festive tipple! A few weeks ago, Blind Pig Cider had a launch party in Manchester at the Whiskey Jar, a hipster haunt in the Northern Quarter I have visited a couple of times. Blind Pig is a very cool, retro cidar company – think flavoured cidar, in rustic packaging, with a bit of attitude added. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it, but with drinks flowing, I can imagine how fun this must have been – as a consolation, I was kindly sent three flavours of their cider to try. Yum!

Now, I’m not gonna lie – y’all know I’m more of a prosecco kinda girl than cidar, but I have really enjoyed trying something different. A few years ago, I wouldn’t be caught dead drinking cider, but it seems to have undergone somewhat of an evolution to become ‘cool’ again, and with three yummy flavours to choose from (Whiskey, Honey and Apple; Bourbon and Blueberry; Rum and Poached Pear) I can understand why Blind Pig have such a hype about them. Aside from a posh drink out, these would make a lovely, unusual gift for a boyfriend of brother this Christmas – something a little different to the usual box of beer, something a little more special and a little more cool.
