Clas Olson Garden Home Haul

Clas Olsen Garden Home Haul

As I start to move towards buying my own home and going out and doing it on my own, I am gradually collecting items to furnish a big (well, little) old empty space with ready for when it’s time. You may remember my Copper Homewear Haul from Clas Ohlson last month, and as my love continues to grow for the chic yet affordable Scandi brand, today I’m bring you some must-haves ready for my own little garden.

Please note: I definitely am not lucky enough to own the huge garden in this photo. As soon as I have my own, I’ll be able to photograph these lust-worthy garden accessories in situ.

The first item I picked up from Clas Ohlson for my garden could actually be used inside or outside. This Solar Basket Lantern is absolutely beautiful and totally reminds me of a classic British garden; it’s black surround and brown rope is perfectly retro and modern at the same time. Although it looks like there is a candle in the middle of this, the centre is actually completely powered by the sun and is totally waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about charging any batteries or plugging it in. This Solar Basket Lantern comes in both small (£8.99) and large (£14.99) sizes, and would make the perfect pair for any balcony, yard or even as a decor beside your fire.

Speaking of lights, the next items I picked up were these Deco LED String Lights from Clas Ohlson. These are also retro looking and can totally imagine these hanging from a wooden veranda or around a quirky little shed. I think I will use these along a window sill to brighten up my future garden, but again, I would totally use these inside as well. For £24.99, there are 10 lights on this string and they are lit with warm white LED lights. Made from tough plastic lamp glass, they are totally durable and can be used before and after the festive season.

Similarly, I picked up two faux plants with built in lights that although some only use during the festive season, I will 100% be using all year round outside my front door to add a bit of light and sparkle to my road!

The first of these is this LED Boxwood Ball. Faux plants are ideal for those not good at keeping things alive (apart from pugs, might I stress) and this large topiary box (buxus) ball comes included with LED lights. You can pop this on a chain and hang from a hanging basket or inset in a planter to fool your neighbours into thinking you have bush grooming down to a tee! Simply plug in and the warm golden lights will create an instant air of class outside your front door.

To sit alongside the faux topiary above, I picked another up in a more traditional shrub style. Again, this one comes with plug in fairy lights built in which is completely easy to set up. Unlike the one above, this one comes with a built in black plant pot with a stake so you can secure this to grass should you wish. Being not the best at gardening (which is quite an understatement I guess!) faux plants really are the way forward to making your garden look presentable all year round with minimal effort. Plus, Clas Ohlson is such a bargain I couldn’t resist!

Stay tuned for more updates on my new home purchases, and please do let me know what you think of my Clas Ohlson purchases below. I’d love to hear from you as I start my homewear journey!
