Outfit of the Day: Brit Stitch & Tie Dye Jeans

Jeans: So In Fashion – Satchel: Brit Stitch – Shirt: Thrifted – Shoes: Market – Flowers: Market

Hey kittens, this week I’ve posted about a couple more events (read my review of the Pretty Little Thing blogger event here and the STYLEetc magazine Spring Issue launch party here) even done a quick beauty review and now it’s time to go back to my roots again with an outfit video and blog post – this one comes with a splash of tie dye to boot!

So kitty cats, it’s May and by anyone’s standards (apart from my fellow Mancunians) we should be well into Spring. Although we’ve admittedly had a mostly sunny – and dry – week in Manchester this week, I’m pretty doubtful that it’s going to continue much longer. To make the most of the weather, today I donned my best Springtime colours to add a little sunshine into an otherwise casual and comfortable outfit.

The statement piece in this look has to be these beautiful tie dye jeans from So In Fashion. If you remember my Springtime Smart outfit video and blog post that featured So In Fashion (see my video here and read my blog post here for more pictures and details) I was so impressed with the quality of their items. These jeans are no exception! They are the softest denim you could imagine, stretchy for comfort yet still keep their skinny shape. Plus, the colour has to be a bonus!

As the jeans are so bright, I decided to pair them with a plain white blouse, with just the rockabilly pattern on the colour to add a little “oomph” to the top half. I love how collar details can transform the look of an outfit! I added these floral peep toe flats, which were an absolute bargain from a local market, to add a little clash of patterns and pick out the coral tones in the jeans.

Finally, I couldn’t not wear my springtime Brit Stitch satchel, which is the Milkman in Lemon. Although yellow is a notoriously hard colour to wear, this toned down, pastel shade goes surprisingly well with so many outfits. I love the way it gently contrasts with the pinky-orange shades of the jeans and I played on this by wearing a yellow hair flower, too. For more info on Brit Stitch, check out my collection blog post here.

So kittens, what do you think? Would you wear tie-dye jeans? Leave me a comment below and let me know! And don’t forget to follow me on Twitterlike my Facebook page and subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep up to date with all things fashion!

I think the outfit works so well because it's subtle. The tie dye is soft and sweet and the yellow satchel draws some attention from it and makes the eye look at the outfit as a whole and not at one particular piece. Overall it's very very beautiful!. :)
