Hey kittens, hope everyone’s feeling nice and festive? I feel like I’ve been bombarding you with blog posts but there’s just so much to show and tell y’all that it’s hard to squeeze everything in! As it’s been a few days since my last Outfit of the Day post, I thought I’d take the time to show you my vintage styling in today’s look.
Both my shirt and shorts in this outfit were from
Harper and Lewis Vintage. They’re an online store specialising in vintage items (duh!), especially various jackets and levi shorts. The former is pretty practical for this time of year – the latter, not so much! However, I’m never one to turn down a pair of shorts and with some 200 denier tights, shorts -can- be weather appropriate in December, can’t they?
This oversized men’s shirt is fast becoming a favourite of mine; there’s just something so comforting about wearing a big, baggy, boy shirt instead of a fitted blouse sometimes. Plus, the colouring is unintentionally hitting the tartan trend that has been huge this winter. Comfort and fashion: killing two stylish birds with one stone.
As this shirt is pretty much the main event in the outfit, I kept my accessories fairly simple, opting for minimal jewellery and my trusty
fedora (my winter hat essential this year) to add a little extra to the look. For footwear, my
Cloggs own ankle boots are perfect for keeping my tootsies warm and dry this December and nicely pick up the gold in
my necklace.
Finally, you might have noticed that I’m wearing my new glasses in this post. Yep, I wear glasses for work and although I’ve posted about them a couple of times before, this pair of tortoise shell London Retro specs from My Optique are my newest editions. I love that they’re kinda classic, kinda quirky and pick up all different flecks of colours within them.
