Outfit of the Day: Swingin’ 60’s

OUTFIT DETAILS monochrome swing dress: AX Paris via Simply Be* // black tights: Primark // white court shoes: Deichmann* // faux pearl jewellery: Primkark // wide brim hat: OASAP*

Hey kittens, hope you’re all good! Today’s outfit is another for my Vintage Outfit of the Day series – my modern take on the 1960’s. Quite appropriately, this gorgeous geometric swing dress is the perfect item for recreating a ‘swinging 60’s’ look! The monochrome print on this AX Paris number from Simply Be is a gorgeous retro print for recreating a mod look.
In true 1960’s style, I popped on some black tights with contrasting white heels from Deichmann – very retro, although probably not the most flattering of combinations; contrasting the colours on your legs/feet tends to cut you up at the ankles a bit. Oh, all in the name of fashion, hey? For accessories, I kept the look monochrome with a wide brim hat from OASAP and some vintage-style pearls for my necklace and earrings. Classic.
So kittens, what do you think of the 1960’s trend? Are you a fan of swing dresses? Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. Ooh I love a good 60s look! Love that monochrome dress – even though it makes your eyes go dizzy if you look at it for too long!

Gorgeous pattern on the dress. And I actually quite like the black tights white shoes thing x
