Manchester Talent: Paige Denim Visits Manchester

Hey kittens, as y’all know, I’m a Mancunian lass and I’m always keen to bring you the latest fashion news from my neck of the woods. For previous stories, check out my articles on Vogue Fashion Night Out, Manchester Fashion Week and Manchester’s fashion history to name a few! 

Most recently I wrote about Manchester graduate, Amy Davidson, winning the Mulberry Accessories Award at Graduate Fashion Week (go girl!). Heck, I love introducing y’all to local talent, new brands and especially letting you know when international designers have descended upon our own fair city (like my blog post on  Mary Katrantzou visiting Manchester) and now we’ve got another notch to add to the designer bed post…

Last week, I was luckily enough invited to meet Paige Adams-Geller of Paige Denim, who was visiting Selfridges Exchange Square in the afternoon. As part of Selfridge’s #DenimLovers campaign, celebrating the launch of their largest ever denim department, Paige was visiting the store and encouraging customers, press and kittens to interact with her during a meet and greet at 12.30pm on the shop floor.

Having flown in especially from LA (lucky thing!) to give a quick talk and show off her gorgeous denim collection, Paige took the time to show us all her favourites, new items and answer any questions from curious kitties – curiosity didn’t kill the cat, you know. She was also on hand to offer her expert guidance for finding your perfect pair of jeans. Heck, if she doesn’t know jeans, who does?

Paige’s designs don’t just cater for the basic bum, they come in all shapes and sizes; pretty handy considering women do, too! They also come in lots of different colours and patterns – variety is the spice of life you know. However, they’re not the most affordable. Heck, her cheapest pair retail at around £200 – ten times more than my trusty Primark favourites that last me day in, day out for work. A little out of your price range, you might think, until I introduce you to her £11,000 pair. And no, that is not a joke.
