I don’t need much of an excuse to invest in a new red lipstick to aid my signature look, but when it’s for charity… Well, it would be rude not to!

For Red Nose Day 2015, Rimmel are relaunched one of their Kate Moss lipsticks in shade 01. This is apparently their best selling shade, and considering I am always a fan of a blue-toned, deep red, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give the lippy a whirl. I purchased this costing £5.49 from Boots, with £1.67 of the total price being donated to the Comic Relief Charity. However, it is now on Sale on ASOS here for a bargain £4.40!

Personally, I think this donation should be upped by Rimmel – it’s not like the need the money, and we all know there’s a huge mark up on beauty products. But I have of course donated my own money to the fun to compensate for this.

The shade Rimmel Kate Moss 01 itself is right up my street – a deep, pigmented bright-to-dark red that compliments my pinkish skin tone. As an affordable lipstick brand, Rimmel really do sit up there in my experience of longievity and quality alongside more expensive brands such as MAC and YSL; I personally can’t tell much of a difference between this and my old favourite MAC Russian Red, apart from a nearly 10 quid price difference. Perhaps this is a Russian Red dupe?!

Either way, a lipstick that helps me do (part) of my bit of charity is always a plus with me and I will be wearing this Rimmel Kate Moss Comic Relief Red Nose Day Lipstick proudly with my Red Nose tomorrow!
