Selfridges Manchester X Dig The City

Hey kittens, happy weekend! Today I’m bringing y’all some more Manchester even news (as all you local kitty cats love so much) and this time I’m talking Selfridges. If you remember my other blog posts about Selfridges, I’ve recently written about Paige Denim and Mary Katranzou  visiting our local store and now there’s another event on at Selfridges Manchester. Oh, and it’s about gardens. Yep, gardens and Selfridges in the same sentence – you heard right!

From today, Selfridges Exchange Square Beauty Hall turns green with a range of exclusive garden-themed events for this year’s Dig the City Festival. Dig the City is is an annual event promoting gardening in our hometown, and this year will transform Manchester in to a garden city. From King Street to the Cathedral, via food, flowers, a forest and a fête, with show gardens, markets, workshops and 100 tonnes of soil. And now – fashion and beauty!

From Saturday August 3 to Sunday August 11 there will be a whole host of summer garden inspired beauty events taking place at Selfridges. Jane Sharrocks, General Manager of Selfridges Exchange Square told me, “the store is proud to be involved in the Dig the City Festival this year which is literally on our doorstep. We can’t wait for customers to come and enjoy the wonderful summer garden inspired treats we have arranged for them”. Aw, what a love.

So kittens, if you fancy taking part, feel free to visit the luxury brand makeup professionals at Selfridges as they show off their expertise and provide the perfect beauty look for summer parties and special occasions with a glorious selection of flower-infused treatments. Lancome (one of my personal favourite skincare brands) will be offering a relaxing Roses Focus pampering experience, allowing customers to enjoy indulgent Hydra intense facials and a beautiful makeover with a spritz of romantic White Roses fragrance to add the perfect finishing touch. Fancy, eh?

For a little extra detail, on Saturday 11 August, Jo Malone London will be offering a multi-sensory gardening masterclass hosted by renowned florist David Wayman, showcasing the inspiration behind the brand’s best-selling Blackberry & Bay fragrance. Wayman will also be hosting a pop-up flower shop from 10pm – 4pm on Friday 9 to Saturday 11 August. RMK Beauty will also be joining the festivities, offering complimentary makeovers to get a pretty summer garden party look with. Phew, there’s more than enough to keep us glamour pusses busy!

So kittens, will you be trying out a flower inspired makeup look this summer? Leave me a comment below and let me know! And don’t forget to follow me on Twitterlike my Facebook page and subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep up to date with all things fashion!
