Summer Trends That Will Keep It Casual

Although it definitely doesn’t feel like it in Manchester, it’s June, and so I guess it’s fair to say that summer is here. Although some of the world is still suffering with the random bouts of bad weather, it’s fair to say that on the whole, the world is becoming hotter and hotter by the day. Now, for some of you, that means getting your summer wardrobe out. That could either mean dressing up to the nines every day, or it could mean keeping it casual. But this article is going out to all of you who just can’t be bothered to put a ton of effort into your fashion and look this summer, but still want to look the part. Sometimes it’s just not fun to doll yourself up and go out all fancy, when the sun is beating down on you and all you want to do is be wearing something casual. But sometimes it’s hard to know how to go casual, without going so casual that you feel like you’re underdressed. Well, today I’m going to share my tips on keeping it casual (no, not your sex like – but you do you do!) and not just in the fashion department

Keeping Your Fashion Casual

You’ve got to love a bit of casual fashion when the sun is shining, you’re in a nice pub or cocktail bar, and that sticky sun’s beating down on you. There’s nothing really much worse than being stuck in the sun, with clothes that are sticking to you so tight. God forbid if this is happening when you have white clothes and a bit of fake tan on as well! So to keep it casual, you need to keep it loose, and one thing we love is a romper. They’re taking the fashion world by storm this year, and as long as you get a three quarter leg one that’s nice and airy, you’ve hit the jackpot. It’s one of those looks that is super smart casual, and what’s better, you can wear it with trainers such as the nike air max 270 in SVD. Wearing trainers when you’re walking around in the summer heat, dolly shoes just don’t cut it! If a romper isn’t your style, and you’d like to go for something that’s going to show off a little bit more leg in the heat, then it has to be a skater dress. You really need to stick to that airy feel, or if a skater dress just doesn’t suit you, then a nice flowing maxi dress. It all depends on what makes you feel comfortable, because we’ve only listed just a few ideas. There are so many summer fashion trends circulating at the minute!

Keeping Your Beauty Casual

Beauty is a hard one to get right in the summer, and there are a few mistakes that we think you ladies will be making along the way. The first thing people tend to do is pile on the makeup. Makeup is all well and good, we just know how good it’s going to make you ladies feel to be super dolled up. But the short story is, makeup and the heat just don’t mix. It’s so easy for your pores to clog up further, because as well as the makeup seeping into them, tiny balls of sweat will be collecting. So if you do this, you best expect a breakout. Less is certainly more with your makeup, with a simple primer and light layer of foundation being all that’s needed. Hair is also a biggy. It’s so annoying to have your hair down on a super hot day, but we know how much some of you will hate having it up. So we think the perfect alternative, is to have plaits put in your hair. They’d look super cute with that nice summer outfit, and they’re so easy to do once you get the hang of it!

Keeping Your Social Life Casual

Social life is so important during the summer. There’s so much to do when the weather is nice, but sometimes when it’s so hot, the last thing that you want to do is go around in your spare time, feeling like the day is flying by in the heat doing one task to the next. So take some time to go and sit in a cocktail bar, go to a cafe, or just go for a nice walk. You don’t need to fill your summer making one plan to the next. The best thing to do is take everything super slow, and just enjoy yourself!
