Black Tulle Skirt Prom Dress

Say hello to one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever worn: hello, Jones and Jones Studio Margot Black tutu dress*! I am no stranger to a good Jones and Jones Fashion formal dress – I own three others and adore them all, thanks to their classic ‘fit and flare’ skater dress fit and 1950’s American prom dress shape. However, I have to admit that this one has to be my favourite so far; this black tulle skirt prom dress just draws too many similarities to an Audrey Hepburn style fav to ignore.

Seriously, as soon as I popped on this dress I just couldn’t stop prancing around in it, pretending to be a little 1950’s Classic Hollywood starlet. I have no shame! Oh and another thing I don’t have is a special enough occasion to wear this to! Already this dress is top of my ‘Christmas Party Outfits’ list. And, what’s more, it is just so timeless that it could be worn to any special do – weddings, proms, parties. Honestly, I don’t see how something is classic as a well fitted little black dress could ever go out of style, and the tutu tulle skirt just adds something extra special.

Of course, you can accessorise an LBD (‘little black dress’, for those in the fashion blogger know!”) however you desire. I debated wearing this one with some red, or sparkly shoes, or a statement clutch bag or floral crown. However, in the end I decided to keep the shoes and jewellery simple and elegant. Let’s face it – the dress does all the talking already!
