Desert Island Chic: Tile Pattern Two Piece

My best friends call me “Wilson”. Yep, like the volleyball Tom Hanks turns into a friend when he’s stranded on a desert island in that movie ‘Castaway.’ It’s an apt comparison: sometimes I feel like I’m a bloody innate object floating in the ocean, and here I guess I kinda look like one too.

But really, the nickname started because my brother is called William, they called him “Big Willy”, then Lily = Willy and Wilson sorta came naturally. As naturally as my one of the couple, Michele, is called Bobby… which really sounds nothing at all like Michele.

This may look like a deserted island (kinda felt like one too) but in reality it was when I visited Madeira this time last year. I found these pictures floating around on my camera memory card and couldn’t pass up the chance to share them. The black sand, the stormy sea, the spiked rock formations amongst the waves… kinda feels like a deserted island, doesn’t it?

This midi skirt and crop top two piece was a kind gift from Next this time last year. I originally saw Megan Ellaby wear it and, let’s be honest, she will always look a hell of a lot cooler than me. But here I am, wearing desert island chic, and I think I kinda rock it, right?
