A Light Summer Glow with Vita Liberata Beauty and Body Blur

Summer is well and truly here in the UK (at last!) and whilst I admit I will never be a bronzed goddess, there is always a little bit of an appeal to having a light glow on your skin when showing more of your body than usual. Despite totally embracing my pale complexion, for a special ocassion I do enjoy adding a light touch of colour on my face and legs to help add a little more ‘life’ to my look, which is why right now I am turning to Vita Liberata’s Body Blur – and their more recently launched Beauty Blur – to do just that.

Body Blur by Vita Liberata has become somewhat of a cult status product in the beauty industry. Costing between £20 – £30 (depending on size of bottle and where you get it from), this is a product designed to be used on the body, but not as a traditional fake tan. Marketing itself as an ‘Instant HD Skin Finish’, it is meant to be lightly applied to dry skin as a wash-off body make-up to leave skin with an immediate photo-ready, air-brushed effect. And let me tell you, it does just that! I am sceptical of any product that claims to give an airbrush finish, but honestly, after trying this out at a couple of events and having my photo taken throughout the day, I can totally confirm that this does exactly what it says on the tube. It honestly looked in photos as though my legs had been smoothed and filters. Amazing!

The Beauty Blur also by Vita Liberata is designed to be almost the ‘face alternative’ to Body Blur, but for me, nothing comes clothes to Body Blur. It is still a nice product, none the less, and seems to blend effortlessly into your complexion, colour matching whilst also adding a subtle bit of bronze to the face. This won’t replace your foundation for events, but it is a nice product to use for summer days out or minimal workday makeup. At around £30, I would mostly liken it to a primer or CC cream; light coverage, a nice base and not irritable on the skin.
