Elvis Jesus Fragrance Launch

On Thursday I was delighted to be invited to the Elvis Jesus fragrance launch. Always one to support a local brand, I jumped to the chance to attend a VIP press launch at Sakura, Deansgate Locks. Read on to find out about “Eyes Wide Shut”.

Now, I’d been to an event at Sakura before – the Glamorous Girls night out took place here – but that was on the lower level. This event took place on the ground floor and spread across the whole central bar, decorated in a tasteful Japanese theme.
Well, this night was something else! From the moment I stepped on the red carpet I was blown away – welcomed by fire dancers in next to nothing, I walked the red carpet to the entrance. At the entrance, I was greeted by masquerade models (also in pretty much nothing) before having my photo taken and walking into the main venue…

Once in the venue, I was welcomed with a free bar (bonus!) and given my own mask to put on. In fact, the “Eyes Wide Shut” invite stated that masks were compulsory! Gosh, never one to let down on the theme I picked up my mask and explored the room.

Inside, there was a Dita Von Teese inspired giant size cocktail glass with a burlesque dancer inside, washing herself and posing for photos. The room was full of lingerie clad models – all absolutely gorgeous and doing nothing for my self-esteem! There were also belly dancers, feather-bearing burlesque dancers and masked bar staff to boot. I even received a palm reading from a mysterious psychic wondering the room. The provocative theme was certainly carried off well. To summerize: the night consisted of scantily clad models, sensual burlesque dancers in larger than life champagne glasses, fire breathers and a string trio to entertain through-out the evening, all dressed in Venetian masks to give the true authenticity to the classic movie ‘Eyes Wide Shut’.

Of course, the celebrity and press night was held for a reason – to sample the new fragrances. The Elvis Jesus clothing collection is sold world-wide and adored by a number of high profile celebrities from rock-stars; movie stars through to sports personalities. Elvis Jesus have launched both a male and female fragrance, both beautifully presented in bible inspired packaging (which actually tells the story of the brand). The beautifully crafted bible exterior houses a real rock n roll fragrance encased within the distinctive aged glass bottle. I was surprised by both. This first Elvis Jesus fragrance mirrors the juxtaposition that runs through the brands DNA epitomising that music is the new religion brand ethos. The male fragrance is quite citrusy but with a strong after smell, whilst the female’s is a fruiter musk of this. I honestly love them both and have already worn mine every day since the party!

Other activities of the night included a fab photo booth by a local company, Zven Media. Photobooth popularity has soared over the past couple of years but I definitely think this is the best I’ve seen yet. Not only could we print our photos, but email them to ourselves too. So handy and saves the faffing around of scanning in the pictures and making them easy to share; very clever. The quality is also amazing – super high quality and very clear.

Local celebs and socalites also turned up to see what Elvis Jesus was all about. Coronation Street stars were out in full force to celebrate the launch of the first Elvis Jesus Fragrance for him and her. Brooke Vincent, Cherylee Houston, Krissi Bohn and Ryan Thomas were all in attendance at the exclusive Eyes Wide Shut event. The soap stars certainly enjoyed having the first samples of the fragrance as they were treated to testers’ through-out the evening by the lingerie and topless models.

Over all, I had an amazing time and can’t wait for Elvis Jesus to put on some more local events! Leave me a comment below and let me know! And don’t forget to follow me on Twitterlike my Facebook page and subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep up to date with all things fashion!
