Fashion Chick x Boohoo #FashionablyFestive Party

Hey kittens, Happy Monday! Last week I was invited to the #FashionablyFestive Bloggers Christmas Party by Fashion Chick. If you’ve not heard of Fashion Chick before (and if not, where have you been?!) it’s a website that aims to ‘help every woman find the perfect look’. As well as selling clothes from tons of huge brands (think of pretty much any famous fashion brand, and Fashion Chick are bound to have it), the website also has a Style Guide and an Outfit Creator section to help ladies plan their next look. It’s kinda a cross between online shopping and Polyvore – which I LOVE!

The event took place at Epernay in Manchester, which is just next to the Great Northern Warehouse. Being a champagne bar, we were greeted with a glass or two of bubbly and some mini canapes to nibble on as we milled around the venue. The bar was packed with all my favourite fashion blogger faces, and it was so fun to catch up with old friends as well as speak to new faces from Fashion Chick. We all equally took advantage of the photo wall and many Christmas props – guilty of wearing the Christmas tree headband!

As well as having a manicure and hair and make-up table at the event, where we could indulge in a little pampering if we liked (and I do like!), there were a couple of brands exhibiting who sell on the Fashion Chick website. The first brand I spoke to were Boohoo, a local Manchester company who are always lovely to see out and about! As part of our generous goodie bags, we were given a £20 credit for Boohoo, which goes a long way considering how affordable the prices are. Some of my favourites from their Christmas part collection are shown below – note the fluffy heels! To DIE for!
It was a great opportunity to start thinking about my Christmas party and New Year’s Eve outfits – there were tons of sequins, faux fur and glitter, all things my heart desires! It’s definitely got me wondering which will be my perfect Christmas party dress this year, and I feel as though I might just utilise Fashion Chick’s fantastic website to help me plan out my accessories to match, too. Hmmm…

As well as Boohoo, one of my favourite brands EVER were at the party; Dorothy Perkins. As y’all know from my recent Outfit Fashion UK Haul on YouTube, I can’t get enough of Dorothy Perkins right now and their Christmas party collection does not disappoint. As well as all the faux fur and sequins you could wish for, they were showcasing some fun ‘YES/ NO’ clutch bags which we were very kindly given in our goodie bags. I love how playful they are and I will definitely be styling mine up on my blog very soon – keep your eyes peeled for it! My #DPmostWishedFor dress is this beautiful red/copper sequin party dress – fingers crossed Santa leaves it in my stocking this year.

Over all, I had a fantastic time and was so grateful for such a lovely night with fellow bloggers. Thank you to Fashion Chick for the invite – I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled on your site over the Christmas party period; everyone needs a little fashion inspiration every so often!
