Hey kittens, hope you’re all having a lovely weekend so far and Happy International Women’s Day! (Although pretty sure that should be every day, right?). As a third wave feminist I’m not sure how I feel about this day – doesn’t it just perpetuate the gender difference? – but any excuse to celebrate us women is alright with me. I feel like blogging and vlogging is such an amazing industry for us ladies to be in, it gives us so many opportunities and just proves that if you work hard you don’t get held back. I mean, who runs the world? Girls!

To celebrate, I’ve spent the day with my Momma and sister, two of the strongest ladies I know. We’ve had a lovely day out exploring our gorgeous Manchester again. Forever a tourist in my own city! And appropriate, especially as one of the most influential feminists of all time, suffragette Emily Pankhurst, was from Mancunia, too. So, today’s look is about as casual as it gets for me – perfect for walking down side streets, sipping cup of tea and a pub lunch. Ideal.

I’m not usually one for T-Shirts, y’all know I’m all about a buttoned up blouse, but this one from Love Red Label caught my eye due to the studded neckline. Kinda makes me think it’s more formal than your standard T-Shirt, yet just as comfortable. I paired it with my American Apparel “easy jeans” – simples. What do I think of the easy jeans? To be honest, I wouldn’t buy them again; the fit isn’t right on my body, the legs aren’t “skinny” enough on my calves and I feel like they go baggy after a few wears. I honestly think £60-odd quid is too much for these – I have the dupe versions from Primark that I wear almost daily for work and they hold their shape better than these (and were a tenner!).

So kittens, how have you spent your Saturday? These pictures were taken outside the University of Manchester on my adventures today!
