Tartan Skirt and Red Turtleneck

Can you guess where this whole outfit is from? (Hint: it’s a supermarket!). I’ve never been one to steer clear of clothes sections in supermarkets, often I’ll go and have a little wonder to cheer up my weekly shop, but then I’m never one to go there purposefully for clothes. After trying this whole outfit though, and browsing such a HUGE collection online from this store, I’m kinda obsessed. Say hello to George at ASDA.

I was asked to pick a key item of knitwear from George at ASDA for the winter season, and see how I could style it three ways. Today’s Outfit of the Day is my first of three posts, all of which centre around this beautiful black cardigan with faux fur trim*. I’ve been wearing this so much to work and have gotten loads of compliments on it, people asking if it’s from Topshop or Zara… Oh no, my friend, it is way cheaper but just as beaut!

My festive red roll neck top* was only £12 (a lot cheaper than the identical one I nearly bought from Dorothy Perkins!) and the green tartan skirt* was also a bargain at only £14! I LOVE both of these pieces. They aren’t specifically Christmas-y but there’s something about the colours that makes me feel so festive. A bonus is that I can wear these all year round, and as two items I’ve wanted for me winter wardrobe for ages, I was so impressed I found them at a supermarket!

To finish the look, I popped on my creek brown Rocket Dog ankle boots*. These are SO comfortable and have barely left my tootsies all winter. They compliment the look by pulling out the lighter tartan of the skirt – and to be honest, the whole look makes me feel a LITTLE bit retro.

Keep your eyes peeled for my other two ways to knitWEAR over the coming week!
